Update Link / Bad Link? |
The Biopharmacy group at the ETH Zurich has developed a new computer simulation program for teaching pharmacokinetics: PharmaSim. It is focused on the simulation of drug plasma levels based on compartment models. The novel features of PharmaSim are the easy visualization of curves and the high speed of the simulations. Students can change the value of a parameter with a scroll bar. The resulting change in the display of the curves is almost immediate (delay time < 0.1 sec.). This allows to visualize the effects of one parameter in a formula, a concept which was hard to illustrate so far.
