JOFX components implement the Open Financial Exchange (OFX) protocol for the development and deployment of a wide range of online financial services. These include banking, bill payment, bill presentment, and investment information applications, based on a multi-tiered, distributed object architecture. These components are pre-developed pieces of application code that can be quickly assembled into working application systems by integrating them with legacy applications. JOFX uses state of the art in Java distributed object technologies, such as Enterprise JavaBean (EJB) and Servlet component standards to implement both the client and server sections of the OFX protocol.
