While classical Euclidean geometry works with objects which exist in integer dimensions, fractal geometry deals with objects in non-integer dimensions. Euclidean geometry is a description of lines, ellipses, circles, etc. Fractal geometry, however, is described in algorithms - a set of instructions on how to create a fractal. For many of the fractals, there is also a link to a C/C++ or BASIC program which will generate a picture of the fractal.
