This course introduces the fundamental principles and applications of digital image processing. The course lays a foundation in linear signals and system theory and digital signal processing and then explores major applications in image processing: enhancement, restoration, and compression. Each student must carry out hands-on computer assignments to complement the lecture material in one or more of the major topic areas. Submitted: Aug 22, 2007

| Speech Processing (Graduate) |
|
This course emphasizes processing of the human speech waveform, primarily using digital techniques. Theory of speech production as related to signal models in time and frequency domains are covered, as well as the measurement of model parameters, short-time Fourier spectrum, and linear predictor coefficients. Speech coding, recognition and synthesis, and speaker recognition are also included. Some consideration is given to speech processing hardware.

| Vorlesung MATLAB/Simulink [German content] |
|
| Description: |
MATLAB Grundlagen: Variablen, Ein-/Ausgabe, Programmierung, Graphik (2D,3D)
MATLAB Toolboxen: Regelungstechnik (Control System TB)
SIMULINK: Grundlagen, lineare und nichtlineare Systeme, Regelkreise

This text is an introduction to the basic principles of electrical engineering and covers DC and AC circuit analysis and Transients. It is intended for all engineering majors and presumes knowledge of first year differential and integral calculus and physics. The last two chapters include step-by-step procedures for the solutions of simple differential equations used in the derivation of the natural and forces responses. Appendices A, B, and C are introductions to MATLAB®, Simulink®, and SimPowerSystems® respectively. Appendix D is a review of Complex Numbers, and Appendix E is an introduction to matrices and determinants. Submitted: Jun 01, 2009
