MathWorks - Model Based Calibration Toolbox  
The Model-Based Calibration Toolbox provides design tools for the calibration of powertrain systems. The toolbox is built on the high-performance technical computing environment of MATLAB as well as the simulation capabilities of Simulink. The Model-Based Calibration Toolbox reduces dynamometer testing time, increases engineering productivity, saves calibration time, and has the potential to improve powertrain performance and reliability.

DRIVE - Dynamic simulation of car engines, gearboxes, and transmissions  
DRIVE simulates the behavior of cars during acceleration along their longitudinal axis of symmetry. The coupled dynamics of sprung and unsprung masses are obtained by calculating vehicle vertical motion and pitch. The driveline is carefully modeled from the clutch to the tires, including the spring drive and gearbox. Tire performances are expressed by a nonlinear slip-force diagram, allowing for the correct calculation of traction forces, including those with high slip ratios.

ve-DYNA® - Vehicle dynamics DYNA®ware  
ve-DYNA allows real-time capable model simulation to test controls and components in a virtual vehicle under realistic conditions. Whether conducted in the onboard mode with hardware-in-the-loop test beds or in the offboard mode, ve-DYNA runs in real time with a time increment of less than 1 ms. The parameters of the ve-DYNA model can be entered using the ve-DYNA GUIs to allow rapid prototyping of an infinite number of vehicle configurations using a single Simulink model. The user has access to the calling interfaces as well as to the data workspace of ve-DYNA, such that inputs and outputs can be defined by the user and even sections of the ve-DYNA model can be replaced with the help of Simulink models. The software is completely modular and can be adapted and customized to your specific needs.

DynaMod - Multiple input, multiple output system identification  
DynaMod is comprised of a suite of code engines that generate, reduce, and tune a dynamic model to fit frequency response data with an accurate, minimal order model. A simple, powerful graphical interface allows high order, high input/output dimensionality models to be fit with minimal user effort. Systems of over 200 states, with 10 inputs and outputs, can reliably be captured. The tuning algorithm uses a logarithmic cost that weights the error at transmission zeros on the same level as the error at poles, leading to improved accuracy at the zeros. Continuous or discrete time models can be generated, transparently to the user, for control design and implementation on a digital control computer. The high accuracy, high order models can also be used for parameter identification and model updating.

RedLine ADAPT-SIM is a hardware and software system that allows dynamic vehicle behavior to be simulated in an engine/powertrain test cell.
